Autism Awareness Day, Santa John is wearing blue
Santa John is wearing blue for Autism Awareness Day, please join him as he brings more education to the communities out there.
Today is World Autism Awareness Day – a day to raise awareness about the condition and the effect it has on individuals and their families.
Santa John joins his many friends who live with this special issue and are wearing blue to help bring more awareness and wonderful understanding to this community. We all love the special people with Autism greatly.
Can it be cured?
Autism is not an ‘illness’ and therefore it has no cure. But with the right kind of support, it could make a huge difference to the lives of people with autism.
If it is ignored, it could have a devastating impact on individuals and their families.
Behavioural treatments and medicines can be used to treat the condition as many people with autism suffer form additional conditions such as sleep disturbance, seizures and gastrointestinal (GI) distress.
There is some evidence that suggests that some people with autism can progress to the point where they are no longer on the autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
This could be because some children mature out of certain forms of autism as they get older.
We need more education and awareness. Please be a help and a solution to helping these special people. Understanding and caring go along way.
